3 Cards to Dead Time is the second meet with Jess, the protagonist of early hidden object adventure 3 Cards to Midnight. This time she has to investigate the strange disappearance of her grandmother and 5 other people in the 1920s.

Speaking about the genre of 3 Cards to Dead Time, we should remember that the first edition of this series create a furore. It was a fresh and engaging gimmick on the genre to blend challenging wordplay with hidden object scenes and wrap it all in a blanket of gloomy secrets. Today get ready not only to find piles of items, but you have to guess what phrase is combined with a given word.

Still, the most part of this title is devoted to questing hidden objects in busy backgrounds. There are also plenty of clever and skippable logic puzzles, and inventory-style puzzles to beat in order to open new locations. To tell you the truth the mishmash of all these puzzles is worth to play owing to its originality. Your ingenuity and wit will be put on trial as you explore the clues. Although the instructions are clear most of the time, even so you might be at a loss more than once.

However, the players who prefer strict gameplay will be completely disappointed by the 3 Cards to Dead Time game’s generosity. Skipping a puzzle take off your score for the chapter, but otherwise doesn’t penalize you at all. You can also go back and replay puzzles anytime if you’d like to take a crack at one you passed before. The storyline itself is quite interesting, but the voice acting leaves much to be desired.

Overall, if you do not care bad acting, then 3 Cards to Dead Time is just what you should try for sure. It is truly one of the coolest, most intriguing hidden object games that you have ever heard or played at all.
