Artifacts of the Past: Ancient Mysteries is a new hidden object adventure game that promises you an unforgettable tour to Ancient Egypt, Stonehenge, and Mexico. If we were KranX Productions, we would not so confident of success. The theme of Ancient Egypt is not only trite but has been already worn-out by many game developers. As for Stonehenge and Mexico they have not escaped the common lot and have been also exploited more than once.

So, the point of Artifacts of the Past: Ancient Mysteries’ originality can be easily laid on the table. It seems that not much effort was put into the story characters or the story itself. No voice acting and the one dimensional characters look primitive in comparison with today’s hidden object titles. The music was reasonably good but completely odd for the majority of scenes. This game puts us in mind of one of the frustrating games that are so annoying with the ordinary characters that piffling too much.

This time around, you do not manage to enjoy freshness or uniqueness because all minigames are predictable and easy to beat. The hidden objects are not hidden at all so you have just one tasks is click and click. There is not timer, no penalty for random clicks and no challenge. The plot keeps no intrigue and everything is clear as two by two. While you are playing Artifacts of the Past: Ancient Mysteries, you feel no enthusiasm or inspiration for this gameplay but keen disappointment. The players, who cry for a challenge at every turn will not appreciate this one, but if you are looking for a relaxing way to kill your free time or you are a newbie to the genre, try it. But do not starve with boredom!
