Be a King produced by RakeInGrass company is a time management game with the elements of strategy. You are the overlord of a city and should construct buildings providing living space, food and protection to meet specific objectives and create a nice town. Every building can be upgraded to increase the number of inhabitants and soldiers or its productivity.
The gameplay is easy enough; it features a good pacing, voiced tutorials and informative tool-tips. The sounds are cool, background music fits the action, so music underneath is really better than the graphics. The best aspect is the hand-drawn campaign map, the else is in a plain 2D accomplishment.
25 levels to come across, 3 goal to achieve in each level, and your success will be rewarded by medals. But we didn’t understand how much time you have exactly to obtain the trophies.
A nice feature is that you can hire heroes to fulfill different missions: from fighting with dragons to some economical events. Honestly, the amount of tasks is limited, so the strategy of Be A King is very straightforward: earn gold, make food, protect the buildings, and repeat. First, it seems entertaining, then boring a bit. We think only the amateurs of such genre will appreciate this city builder.
