Behind the Reflection 2: Witch's Revenge

To review Behind the Reflection 2: Witch’s Revenge, the second edition in the well-known Hidden Object series by Alawar Entertainment, it is enough to copy and paste the text from the review of its first installment, Behind the Reflection, and ta-dah! In fact this sequel reminds us its predecessor very much.

Behind the Reflection 2: Witch’s Revenge’s plot is nothing to right home about as this pretty similar to its first game. The witch, which was defeated by you in the first title, came back and imprisoned your son behind a mirror once again. To get your child out, you should outdo this sinister woman.

If the core gameplay and the plot weren’t changed, the graphics has become more professional. Instead of plain 2D items, the game is equipped with nice 3D ones. The hidden object scenes look rather fine but lacks in animation a bit. The characters look too static, however their zombie-like appearance is fairly scary. Due to these static hidden object scenes the gameplay might be monotonous. Anyway, there are lots fans of this sort of games.

As for the challenge part in Behind the Reflection 2: Witch’s Revenge, it is rather weak but perfectly suits for the newbies. The puzzles are easy, still always have sense there. In spite of grainy graphics, the hidden object puzzles are clear.

Tired story, poor quality 3D graphics and uninteresting tasks you will find all these in Behind the Reflection 2: Witch’s Revenge. Honestly, it is not exactly what we were expecting from Alawar Entertainment. Being a real master of casual games, the developer has tons of better games than this one. However, if you are keen on the first installment, you will surely appreciate the second one. Good luck!
