BEHIND THE REFLECTION Review by DoubleGames
Behind the Reflection from Alawar Entertainment is a new but standard game installment made in hidden object style. But is it enough spectacular for any hidden object connoisseur? Well, the developers make a fine mistake if they think that we admire on familiar plot or ordinary tasks.
The game starts with a mother and son out for a walk on a sunny summer day. All of a sudden this naughty boy disappears inside a magic mirror and the adventure is on. Sounds familiar? Yes, we have tried tons of a ho-hum game today. Why not try one more? There you don’t need any story as you are always told what to do and where to go next. The title involves pretty simple hidden object scenes, fragmented items and plain puzzles, which are so primitive that anyone used to deal with hidden object games will crack them all at a time.
The hidden object scenes are easy to find because of bright colors and uncluttered backgrounds. Nevertheless, there are two or three challenging puzzles but most of them are fairly familiar and on the easy side of game mode as well. Thankfully, the developers equip every puzzle with a skip button. It seems they had a presentiment that very few players would like to waste their time on such lame puzzles.
Graphically, Behind the Reflection is very and very dull. The instrumental music and appropriately fits for the most part, though there are moments when it grows almost irritating and you can hardly bear its annoying tone. Actually, there is nothing especially bad about Behind the Reflection, but this title is not for experienced player. Maybe newcomers to the genre will find this entertaining.
