BILBO: THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE WORLD REVIEW BY DOUBLEGAMES

Alawar Games company has published a new time management game. It is called Bilbo: Four Corners of the World and your mission here is to help Bilbo the Hamster run his own chain of restaurants. The story of the game is simple enough: one day Bilbo meets a beautiful girl and to impress her he decides to become a restaurateur. Of course, without your advice it would be extremely difficult for him to succeed... Read more

The gameplay is divided in several chapters. In the beginning you start a restaurant in Paris, then you go to a tropical island to sell ice cream, and the last chapter takes place in Norway, where you have to run a fish restaurant. Each level of the game has three goals. You need to achieve only one to complete any level, but the more the better. The general idea is to serve the right food as fast as possible and keep your customers happy. After each mission you get to play a mini-game where you have to catch coins that are falling from the top of the screen.

The game features decent graphics and nice music, but there are some problems with switching to windowed mode. It doesn’t work half of the time.

Bilbo: Four Corners of the World is a complicated game, especially “ice cream” part. Also there are some goals impossible to achieve or senseless. But despite all the bugs of the game, we can say that it is a good example of time management strategy and fans of the genre shouldn’t miss it!
