Plants vs Zombies - Small advices for the big Victory

If you are new in the world of Plants vs Zombies the first thing you'd probably do is creating a big protective army of plants to defend the home.

This technique will work only during some first levels while Zombie's team is small, powerless and slow. But it gets harder and harder to lead with the power. As soon as you run from the sun, Zombie will be there.

Skilled players know on what they should concentrate: the Sun and one more time - the Sun. It's an energy so much needed for planting and keeping your army strong. Without a strong and brave army everything you'd been working on would be destroyed.

The question is how much of the Sun is too much? If you'd plant only Sunflowers you'll have no defenses to stop the attacking Zombies.

The thing is the balance.

While you plant Sunflowers on the lawn, Zombies can (and will) appear. If you won't check them, they take down all your smiling Sunflowers very quickly.

In the beginning of the game, the Zombies are sparse and slow moving. But don't take this as an opportunity to sit on your heels. You'll still have to deal with each advancing Zombie. The technique here is to use cheap one-hit-kill plants like Potato Mines and Squashes to give yourself time to establish at least two columns of Sunflowers.

If you're still not sure the plants that don't function as weapons could get your attention, here is one more fact that should push you. Ty Roberts, the Associate Producer of Plants vs Zombies, approves this technique.
