As you can guess by the genre, the game is infused with busy hidden objects scenes and solving inventory puzzles, there are logical mini-games to beat.  For example, you do things like crack safes and uncover security codes based on logical clues you are given, or play the piano by following a bouncing ball on the screen. The puzzles are of the usual variety, but neatly implemented. If you get stuck with this or that minis you can skip it immediately. To be fair, the items are good sized, not terribly hard to find, and the hints renew in good time.

To tell you the truth, Cajun Cop: The French Quarter Caper is not bad, certainly not the worst one, but there are some issues with it that make it a bit aggravating at times. So there are a lot of dialogues that you cannot skip, some mini-games are useless and almost annoying. Besides it cannot but irritate when the game developers run out of story and break it up with certain mini-games like connect the pipes and spot the differences. The pointer on the game is touchy and must be almost dead on the item or it won’t click correctly and will deduct minutes from your overall time if you click too much.

In a nutshell, it seems like a fairly easy, relaxing game with no stress or difficulties. The title of the game implies a lot of thematic scenes; unfortunately they are not as vivid as it has been expected. If the cartoon graphics are good and solid, the music is a little weak. It would be better to offer players nice jazz or swing. Overall, it is not bad experience when there is nothing to play.
