The most remarkable thing of Castle series is plot. Castle’s storyline is always strong and it rises above other TV show of the same genre. Castle can be characterized as detective fiction, more specifically police procedural, with the elements of drama and even comedy. Gunnar’s team has made a wise decision to keep this advantageous mixture of genres for their game. We should note that talented Castle’s script writers have also made their contribution to the storyline of the described game. As a result of such an extraordinary cooperation, Castle: Never Judge a Book by Its Cover has a remarkable plot. We highly appreciate this fact. The game offers you to follow the footsteps of a famous writer, Richard Castle, who becomes inspired by a real police procedures. His adviser, detective of the New York Police Department Kate Beckett, must keep an eye on Richard, preventing him from doing reckless activities. It is a tough mission: author of the world known detective bestsellers is unpredictable. This time the eccentric couple deals with serial killer who has a hobby to embody the remarkable features of a classic masterpieces into the cruel murders. The few victims have already played a roles of “Frankenstein” and “Phantom of the Opera” heroes. Only Castle and Beckett are able to establish the identity of this psychopath. The deeper investigation goes, the more dangerous it becomes. Your task is to find all possible clues and save the lives of the adorable characters. The gameplay is not groundbreaking, it is standard. You are given the wide territories to seek after carefully hidden items. Discovered objects must be applied to various interactive units. A list of locations that must be visited includes morgue, victims’ houses, crime scenes, etc. In order to ease the navigation a special map is given. You are able to jump between locations to fulfill incomplete missions. Every single playground is stuffed with various puzzles. They differ from the easiest to hardest. Also, the level of uniqueness increases according to your progress. All in all, the presented challenge will please a wide group of casual gamers.

The graphic presentation deserves a standing ovation. Gunnar crew have tried to reach the high visual standards, so, they have succeeded. It is hard to mark a difference between characters of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic and their embodiments within the game. Everything is made conscientiously. The one big disadvantage deals with the voiceovers. They are missing. Probably, team of developers cannot come to agreement with schedule of Nathan and Stana. So, they have had to make the characters mute instead of looking for inappropriate voice actors. Wise decision.

In tote, Castle: Never Judge a Book by Its Cover turns out to be a qualitative title with perfect graphic presentation and great storyline that is equal to the original Castle TV series. We are sure this game will be interested for both Castle fan base and casual games goers. Enjoy and solve this crime!
