DARK PARABLES: RISE OF THE SNOW QUEEN COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
Each game developer celebrates winter season with its different titles; one (the fewest part of developers) opens the coldest season of the year with light-hearted installments, the others (the greatest part of developers) sees winter as the finest period for dark, scary and dangerous adventures.
So, t his winter time we begin with the newest Hidden Object adventure puzzle game Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen from Blue Tea Games, a pretty creepy fairy-tale that has you fighting with evil Snow Queen and saving Swiss town from eternal ice. This new Hidden Object story has everything we have come to expect from this illustrious series: a compelling plot, superb artwork, and awesome gameplay. Unlike its sibling titles, this one is remarkable for its storytelling that involved moral aspect. There you can see what happens when protagonists do bad things, the result of their deeds.
What makes the Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen stands out from the number of similar title is a wonderful balance of exploration, puzzle solving, and hidden object finding, each point in perfect harmony and not dominating there. Most of mini-games and puzzles are familiar but some rather unique. Thanks to accurate graphics the searching of hidden items is pleasant, without any irritating moments.
The artwork is really brilliant, inspired by cool animated features. Decent voice-acting and amazing music add much on spooky game atmosphere.
Being the third installment in the series, Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen is still extremely engrossing and challenging. This is a really good beginning of winter season! If the developers keep this way, we won’t be bored these long winter evenings! Hey, way to go!
