We can seldom play a hidden object game which tells us an interesting story, but Defenders of Law: The Rosendale File by Big Fish Game is an exception from this rule. You are playing as a member of a firm called Defenders of Law, Inc. Your client is falsely accused of murder, and your task is to prove his guiltlessness.

The gameplay is divided in two parts. First of all you have to explore several locations in order to find evidence that your client is innocent. Next you have to prove his innocence in court. The second part of the game is a bit of a letdown, cause it is made in a form of a dialog where you should choose the right phrase. These phrases are extremely obvious so there is no excitement at all.

Nevertheless, the hidden object part is rather entertaining. All the items have proper sizes and can be found in the places you expect them to be. Also this game has a good replayability cause each time you start a new game, you get another case to investigate. But the items’ location stays unchanged, which is a little upsetting.

Despite all its small drawbacks, Defenders of Law: The Rosendale File is a game that is worth playing. It has some interesting turns and twists, so if you are a fan of the hidden object genre, it’s a must play game for you!
