At fist sight Depths of Betrayal can be called a straight-forward hidden object game, however you won’t spend all your time collecting tons of different items. You will be able to click on random objects only to invoke the appearance of an item collection list. Unfortunately, there is no real variety in this gameplay, just lots of circles with missing objects. To crown it all, these hunting job has you making a lot of backtracks throughout the game, which is really disappointing.

There are still some puzzles scattered throughout the game, but they’re incredibly plain. There isn’t more challenge in these puzzles, the rest of the game is only lacking in difficulty. Due to frequent backtracking the gameplay seems very repetitive as well as music and other components of the game. The characters, with whom you interact, chat useful, sometimes even funny but often silly.

Graphically, Depths of Betrayal is clear, the scenery is well-illustrated and numerous. Hidden object scenes are fairly obvious, moreover the game’s hint system simply won’t let be stuck for too long.

Depths of Betrayal is a typical hidden object installment but inevitably spoiled by the repetitive gameplay and an overdose of backtracking. Often you have to investigate absolutely pointless locations that seems to have bee added just for length. All in all, this is an ordinary title that can be finished in several hours and uninstalled immediately.
