Dominic Crane's Dreamscape Mystery

You will recognize Big Fish Games’ clear graphic style as you try its fresh hidden object adventure Dominic Crane’s Dreamscape Mystery. This time you play as a man haunted by odd dreams. Your great travel begins with a visit to a psychologist in order to get rid of obsession. 

The developers did a fine job with the 3D illustrations and the soundtrack fit the game theme perfectly. Actually, we will not go beyond these pleasant words as there is nothing remarkable about this title. We would like to start with the complaints about the lack of direction, help and tutorials. On the one hand, it is pity when the game is overloaded with clear instructions, but their absence may discourage a player too. Why not strike the right balance? The hidden object scenes are straightforward and far from being canny ones; some things is harder to find than others, but not impossible with the generous hint system. 

In Dominic Crane’s Dreamscape Mystery, puzzles and mini-games are all ordinary not to say lame, though they are able to bewilder you a little bit. Due to unpolished gameplay most of mini-games and tasks are confusing and rarely make logical sense. We wish the parents of this title had gone more into the plot and fleshed it out. In this case the detailed storyline would have put in order the gameplay and would have cleared up many things. While the artwork is fine and tries to convey dream theme, the first chords of music spoil game atmosphere.

There is nothing new under the sun: common tasks, quickie gameplay. With all its drawbacks, Dominic Crane’s Dreamscape Mystery has very little chance to win your heart.
