DRACULA: LOVE KILLS COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
To begin with, there should be a warning that being a brilliant game though, Dracula: Love Kills is not for children or weak-nerved adults at all! The number of very realistic bloody scenes just amazes! But those who love stories about vampires are strongly recommended to try this project by Waterlily Games, where you are to play the role of the world-famous Transylvanian Count Dracula.
The game is rich in bloodcurdling events, sulky atmosphere and intricately elaborated puzzles. In fact, Dracula: Love Kills is not a standard Hidden Object game. It is more a bridge between Hidden Object and Adventure genres providing a puzzle-centric gaming with a narration. Unlike in other similar hybrids, all the elements of Dracula: Love Kills are pretty balanced. Playing as Dracula, you are to struggle with the Queen of Vampires, who is going to destroy your supremacy. You are still weak after the battle with Van Helsing and realize that you can’t overpower her alone. Having vanquished your mutual hatred, you form an alliance with Van Helsing to resist the Queen.
The graphics of Dracula: Love Kills are more than irreproachable. Attention is paid to every detail making the backgrounds, objects and characters so realistic, that you feel as if you’ve taken a leap into these scenes to the point of creeping. Perhaps, somebody could blame the developers in congestion with the bloody scenes in the game. But this remark is off-base here, as could it indeed be otherwise when speaking about Dracula?
As to the sounding of Dracula: Love Kills, only one thing can be noted as imperfection. Dracula and his helper Igor speak with some vague accent. But still, many gamers would not even notice that. Actually, it doesn’t influence the overwhelming impression of the game design anyhow.
