ENIGMATIS: THE GHOSTS OF MAPLE CREEK COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
We are happy to present you Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek Collector’s Edition! It is a new PC Hidden Object game from the developers Big Fish Games. Storyline gets you from the very first minute of playing. This time you’ve been dispatched to a small, creepy Vermont town to track down a missing girl. You’ve been in some kind of accident, and now you’ve got very little recollection about what you’re doing there. So, now you have a lot of time to explore everything, and get to the bottom of this mystery!
The intro is very well animated, and the opening menu reflects the game’s setting perfectly. The Options Menu has the right stuff—sound FX and music sliders, cursor choice, screen choice, and eventually, two gameplay modes. Looks like a good game for those who enjoy dark stories.
The female voice actor does a great job. The graphics are really artistic, and the HО scenes are crisp and clear. There’s the obligatory, re-upping hint system, but we are not sure you’ll need it very often. The developers have included the entire SG in the demo—seven chapters plus a bonus chapter—I guessed that I was half-way through the first chapter in my 30 minutes - doesn’t that mean 6-7 hours of enjoyment? The puzzles are fun and Hidden object scenes are not too much and they’re not hard also, but it might be good for some gamers. There are dozens of locations to go to and they all give the same creepy, and somewhat claustrophobic feeling that the game strives for.
So far «Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek Collector’s Edition» is absolutely brilliant game! You’ll like every second of it! And even if you are not a fan of Hidden Object Games, the other qualities of this game more than make up for it.
