The events of this new sim installment take place in the exciting and dangerous North American gold rush time. Your family falls upon hard times but your skillful management of building towns and mines for gold can save the day.

Being a mixture of time management and dash titles, Golden Years: Way Out West can draw the fans of both genres. As for the building aspect of the game, it is rather varied and challenging, this never gets tedious or repetitive. The players will like the new way of goals introduction and the fresh design of levels. These levels looks not only different but have tons of interesting and even unique tasks.

However, the experienced players won’t find there a challenge as sophisticated and intricate as they used to try at such prominent titles as My Kingdom for the Princess or Build-a-lot. Golden Years: Way Out West will surely appeal to the newcomers to the genre. Having only two or three really complex stages, this game mainly focuses on intriguing plot, accurate artwork, and careful combination of several different genres.

The complaints on the short playing time and abrupt ending are quite insignificant in comparison to the overall gaming experience. If you are looking for a highly complicated Time Management simulation game you may be disappointed, but the newbies will like an evolving story, high value productions and the successful mixture of different gameplays. Have fun!
