Haunted Manor: Queen of Death Collector's Edition

Haunted Manor: Queen of Death is the second part of the Haunted Manor game series. You needn’t to be a sharp-witted person to understand from this game title that it is chiefly devoted to the ghost thematic. Eye-popping artwork, lots of phantoms and Hidden Object scenes promise us to be very absorbing. But let’s take a closer look.

Although Haunted Manor: Queen of Death is the second chapter in this spooky Hidden Object series, its storyline aren’t connected with the first installment, the only unity for them – mysterious atmosphere. The game offers you a quite gloomy plot as any self-respecting Hidden Object title must offer – about the cursed family mansion and your twin sister, who has been trapped by evil forces. Haunted Manor: Queen of Death is a mixture of inventory based adventure and Hidden Object scenes. There are still few mini-games that are quite unusual and very enjoyable. The job of hunting hidden items is nice as the artwork is beautifully done and there are no punishments for random clicks. Puzzles vary from easy to very difficult.

The graphics are top-notch, and everything is clear to see and spot, even though the theme is pretty dark and sinister. There are tons of creepy crawlies for those who is fond of being horror-stricken – spiders, snakes, bugs, rats, etc.

Unfortunately, the absence of voice-overs can disappoint some Hidden Object purists although the music may enjoy them very much. The haunting tunes of illustrious classic music adds to the weird storyline.     

Summing up, Haunted Manor: Queen of Death is a good game full of ghosts and demons. However, it’s far from being a casual game masterpiece and in a few months it might be forgotten. But for today it’s one of the best quality game, which can be recommend for every die-hard fan of Hidden Object genre.
