HIDDEN EXPEDITION - DEVIL'S TRIANGLE Review by DoubleGames

One would think there is nothing to surprise experienced gamer but BigFishGames do not despair. So they present us Hidden Expedition – Devil’s Triangle, the newest chapter in the Hidden Expedition series and a real treat for the hidden objects fans.

This time, you’re sent into the centre of the Bermuda Triangle to find a missing pilot Phoebe. Most part of the game you will spend roaming about hidden object scenes with the list of things to hunt. From time to time you have to solve logical puzzles, many of which are inventory based.

Though the gameplay is fairly simple we cannot deny that a massive amount of work went into making the fourth part in the series. The combination of story, art, music, sound effects is well-organized and places the game in a good light. The artwork is seductive, and most of the scenes look like real masterpieces of art. Fortunately, the game is untimed, and there are no penalties for random clicking.

There are, however, a few things that keep this from being the perfect game. Solving a scene without hints is one thing, but the mini-games with no directions and no info button to let the player know what is expected of them will bewilder you. Hidden Expedition: Devil’s Triangle is also shorter than it could have been, and ends abruptly. Still the new installment is gorgeous and challenging enough.
