The idea of the game is to travel around historic places looking for hidden items from a special list. We were very disappointed by the fact that developers never tried explaining why exactly you are searching for these items. Some times the items don’t correspond to the nineteenth-century setting. Once in a while you are asked to find a pixel-sized ladybug or a fly which is almost unreal to do. In this case you can always use a hint. There are three of them per each level.

The game has two modes: timed and relaxed, but no matter which one you choose the game seems very short. It takes one afternoon to complete all missions.

The value of Hidden Mysteries - Civil War game is not in hidden objects and game modes. It is very educational cause you learn a lot of interesting facts about this war. As for the graphics and sound effects, they are almost irrelevant in this game. We can grade them as average.

For the real fans of hidden object genre the game won’t be of any interest. For the beginners, this game can give a wrong impression about the genre in general.
