Jessica: Mysterious Journey

Good gracious! Have we ever got some good hidden object title that would not let us down? Judging by this new adventure game named Jessica: Mysterious Journey by WaterFall Interactive, our dreams are absolutely hopeless.

There is no intriguing storyline to grab our attention up to the very end, no challenging tasks to puzzle us for a while, no pleasant music to cherish our ears, no decent graphics to amuse our eyes. Nothing can soothe our soul in Jessica: Mysterious Journey! Cheesy storyline offers you a banal adventure in order to find great treasures. It would be not so serious, if the developers wrap up this game in more inviting cover. Instead of polished illustrations we have to enjoy absolutely uncreative locations and explore muddy scenes.

It seems the developers forget without a trace such words as beauty, harmony and fascination. Neither this word not the other can be used in description of Jessica: Mysterious Journey game’s artwork and game itself. There are no instructions in the game so you are on your own to figure out how to play. However, this fact does not matter much because all its puzzles are extremely easy. Some of them are still vague and seem unrelated to the game entirely. Most of the hidden object scenes suffer from the problem of having items that are too small to spot and irregularly working hint button.

Poor background music is a real coup de grace there. It sounds like we are playing not some common hidden object game but something of an indecent topic and it even vulgar at times. No wonder you find yourself just wanting to quite the game after several minutes.
