THE MISSING: A SEARCH AND RESCUE MYSTERY COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
The Missing: A Search and Rescue Mystery is the freshest hidden object adventure hybrid from Sulus Games, where you will be able to get into the role of a rescue pilot who’s job is to find all missing students before time runs out.
The first good thing about this title is that it is not an average adventure game but rather a innovative one. With less focus on collecting tons of items and more focus on logical puzzles and mini-games The Missing: A Search and Rescue Mystery plays almost like an adventure game. Of course, the mini-games and puzzles are especially interesting there. Although there are some usual tasks along the way many are either challenging and unique or ones that are not usual for hidden object genre. Moreover, the difficulty of the puzzles increases the further into the game you go, requiring a lot of logical and inspective skills.
The developers made a good job of the backgrounds. As a result, The Mission: A Search and Rescue Mystery looks pretty crisp and wonderful, even in its dark scenes, and the spooky music only adds on game mood increasing the tension of the play. If there is a flaw to this thematic and clever game it is that most of these stunning backgrounds are not used at their full force. They are all nice to look at, but there is not much to do in any of the them while you are wandering through the game. Many hidden object scenes are simply useless there and have no practical meaning. Due to these inactive scenes the game is much shorter that it it could have been.
In spite of some downsides The Mission: A Search and Rescue Mystery is surely a good hidden object installment if only for those perplexing puzzles. For those who have already sick of ordinary hidden object titles this game can offer not only pure hidden items job but a great adventure. Have fun!
