MUMMY'S TREASURE Review by DoubleGames
We have played a considerable number of puzzle games with mind-bending and physics contraptions. However, Mummy’s Treasure goes the other way, having high challenging gameplay and having a very tiny playing field.
The prime object of each level is to clear away all mummy blocks, while keeping the gold blocks on the screen. This really is not as primitive as it sounds. While the fist levels dull your vigilance offering you some pretty explicit puzzles, it’s not long before you will be breaking you head over them all. Some will absolutely distract you. For better or worse, Mummy’s Treasure lets you skip levels, which won’t make the nit-picker players happy, but helps you avoid the frustration of some perplexing puzzles.
The gameplay is challenged by the timer, which is not very strict but still make you rushing. Rather than taking care of accurate moves, some of the tasks within Mummy’s Treasure requires fast movements as well. In other levels you have to take into account gravitation which can affect the whole level. Further difficulties come when you wish to reduce the number of moves in each level. If puzzle games are your cup of tea, the perplexing gameplay of this new title may really wound your pride.
All in all, Mummy’s Treasure wears a very dull skin because of the very plain artwork in spite of all these gold colors. The twist with gravity is quite unique, but unfortunately this installment lacks the graphics to convey this gimmick. Unlike most puzzles, this game can justly belong to this genre. This is indeed wonderful fun if you have a fine pot of patience. It is ideal in fact for those who have already tested many other physics based puzzle title. Be ready to test your brain!
