MYSTERY AGE: THE DARK PRIESTS Review by DoubleGames
Mystery Age: The Dark Priests is a hidden object adventure game by Digital Quarter that is worth playing for die-hard fans of the genre. The plot focuses on a young woman who is sent out to save her village from evil-doer.
The story promises to be quite dark but in fact nothing too terribly awful actually happens there. Moreover, there are no characters, as such, no cut scenes and no narration. Still, if you want to be aware of the storyline, go to the in-game diary that keeps track of crucial points. Mystery Age: The Dark Priests involves a wide variety of mini-games and different types of hidden object puzzles that always keep you really entertained. The gameplay has you solving some challenging inventory puzzles as well, which allow you to interact with the game environment.
Mystery Age: The Dark Priests’ graphics have really delighted our trained eye. The colors are always vivid, and hidden items are clearly recognizable, making the searching puzzles nice to play. The music background is trying to be haunting. It perfectly fits the spooky game atmosphere, but is unable to scare you to death. There are many dark scenes, mysterious paths but they are not cryptic enough to provide you with good goosebumps.
All in all, this is a highly recommended hidden object title, though not very scary as it promises from the very beginning. To crown it all, this game lacks in story but you are always interested in what to do and where to go next. Nevertheless, its high value productions worth a tip of the hat. Check it out!
