Get ready for the new adventure - Mystery Murders: Jack the Ripper! It is a familiar subject and a solid game that is good for one of those days you want to play something with little thought. Even in advanced mode, the game is very easy if not predictable... Read more

Storyline is very addictive.  Based on the famous Jack the Ripper stories everyone knows and maybe even likes. In this scenario, you have dreams about deaths from Jack the ripper and try to warn authorities. You hunt for witchy symbols and tarot cards. Like we said before, this is a relatively easy game, it has a good many mini games but overall is not a bad play. There is a lot of dialogue but for once, it’s not annoying and rather essential to what you are doing.

Graphics are great, clear and beautiful,  but dark and lacking bright color, are in places generally clear, but in the Hidden Object sections not so clear.  In fact many of the objects have been smudged into their backgrounds in a most unfair manner. It is advisable that the Game creators and producers Play Fair with their Players if they want them to be Purchasers!

Puzzles are some sort quite easy and some are challenging too. HOG scenes are just right, not too difficult but not too easy as well. Story is just OK, solving crime and catch Jack the Ripper (just want to know how it ends!). There’re voice overs and they’re very very good, loved it! The game is great but it just won’t grab you straight away but after about an hour!

This Game gives the usual Playing Mode, Sound and Music choices in its Options menu.  The music was not very memorable but there are a lot of background noises: creaking floorboards, footsteps, screams, laughter to add ambiance.

You have a notebook which gives some excellent historical details in small snippets and a little way into the game you will find a map that can be used to jump to different locations. The mini-games were very easy and we are hoping that these may get a little more taxing further into the game.

If you are a Crime Games fan you will love Mystery Murders: Jack the Ripper!
