MYSTICAL ISLAND Review by DoubleGames
If Mystical Island was the first Big Fish Games ’ entry into casual market, we would have excused them for sure. But it is very strange to see this poor Hidden Object installment from such grand developers like Big Fish Games.
Certainly, most of the players have already got used to deal with mystical islands, mansions, missing members of the family over and over again. This time around, you also find yourself on a tropical island with no idea how you got there. To escape this place, you should explore different locations in order to find all clues. In spite of this pretty familiar story you still believe that gameplay will compensate this pitfall.
Unfortunately, the gameplay is also very plain without any challenge and twists. The junkpile scenes are too bored to investigate. The hidden items are really hard to find but not because of its clever arrangement, but because of the awful artwork. The mini-games is nothing to write home about and can be easily skipped if you want.
The dialogue is just another downside of Mystical Island that is rather tedious and absolutely uninteresting. Grainy and blurred colors of the graphics make your eyes hurt. The music background is too repetitive and should be turn off very soon.
All in all, this title provokes no positive feeling but only your anger. We cannot even recommend this game to the newbies because they may be disappointed with this genre forever.
