NEMO'S SECRET: VULCANIA Review by DoubleGames
Are you keen on Jules Verne’s novels? Nemo’s Secret: Vulcania is a new science fiction adventure with a nautical theme. With some tricky puzzles and well-animated graphics, Odian Games’ sequel to Nemo’s Secret: The Nautilus offers a high-lighted Hidden Object game without the usual killers, ghosts and family curses.
This time around your best friend none other that Captain Nemo needs your help badly. His partner, Dr. Dardell is going to use the revolutionary technology they’ve developed for his own benefits. There is only you, Alice, who can travel to Vulcania Island to save the captain.
The core gameplay of Nemo’s Secret: Vulcania offers a large array of challenging puzzles. The tasks are extremely varied, ranking from hidden object scenes to mini-games or to fix an item. The hidden object scenes are interactive and perfectly animated, giving you the feel of credibility. Usually you have no problems with searching of different items but some objects are still very small and hard to see, even the use of Hint doesn’t help very much.
Vulcania is a picturesque island where you needn’t any maps as the developers give you slow access to new locations, allowing you to become familiar with this or that place. This is especially important because you are to make a lot of back and forths. Fortunately, in Nemo’s Secret: Vulcania, it is always nice to interact with the scenes since all of them are accurate and detailed. Graphics are good but sometimes look a bit fuzzy. The music background has nothing to write home about but at least quite bearable.
If you have never read Jules Verne’s works, after playing Nemo’s Secret: Vulcania you will be probably eager to do this immediately. Good luck!
