NIGHTMARE REALM COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
Life is not all cakes and ale, and far from being a fairytale. And Kathleen, the main hero of a new hidden object game, knows this better than anyone else. Her husband died in a freak car accident, her daughter is kidnapped by supernatural forces. What else can be worse?! In spite of this spooky beginning Nightmare Realm is surely an engrossing and terrific Hidden Object fantasy game from Lesta Games that’s packed with surprises and spins.
Nightmare Realm is a fairly original Hidden Object adventure focusing on story mainly. While it starts out rather blandly, the game has enough twists to attract the players who assume a game within first 30 minutes. The environment of this title is perfectly designed, creating a weird atmosphere of the game. Graphics are really amazing and even a treat for the eyes. Some scenes are absolutely breathtaking to look at. Not all players pay attention towards voice-overs as most of us prefer to play in silence. But this time, the voices are always of high-quality.
The gameplay is simple and done simply by clicking with the mouse. The connoisseurs of Hidden Object games will probably complete this title in four hours. Hidden object scenes are well-packed with different fantastic puzzles and details, and the backgrounds are interesting to explore. While the puzzles are mostly traditional on types, they are still very creative and challenging.
If there is a downside to the plot, it has some informational holes, and often leaves you bewildered wanting a lot more. But the real downside is that Nightmare Realm makes you do back-tracking sometimes.
All in all, this new Hidden Object title combines everything what a modern adventure game must have: intriguing storyline, stunning visuals and captivating gameplay. This is a highly recommended installment.
