Redemption Cemetery: The Island of the Lost is a decent sequel of the world famous pc/mac game series developed by ERS Game Studios. This time as we can see from the title the creators decided to make a ghost themed game so let’s see if they were successful enough... Read more

The storyline in this game is kind of old-school. You survive the plane crash and end up on the unfamiliar Island full of ghosts. Seems like you all are trapped there for an eternity, so you start your journey to fix the past and try to come back home. The concept of rescuing the ghosts is not new in the games’ industry so unfortunately we don’t find this game thrilling and exciting.

Artwork and graphics are very enjoyable and cover the lack of plot’s originality. Thanks to dark colors and special visual effects the game looks really creepy. Awesome soundtracks and voice overs match the game’s mood. ERS did a wonderful job to make the game look and sound as scary as possible. We wish we could say the same about the gameplay.

The Island of The Lost doesn’t seem like a game for hardcore players. More challenges and at least interactive gameplay would be a lot better for a game. But instead you’ve got a list of tasks to do and locations to explore so basically that’s all what the gameplay consists of. Puzzles could be more challenging and innovative as well.

The closer you get to the end of the game the more often you ask yourself why you even play it. Zero innovations, lack of originality, boring gameplay and only one good thing about this game is visual and audio representation. We honestly think only the true admirers of Redemption Cemetery series will appreciate this part.
