Revenge of the Poet Killer is a second game from the Righteous to kill series, produced by BigFishGames. It is a hidden object game where you have to trace and catch a maniac who is terrorizing New-York city. Comparing to its prequel, Revenge of the Poet Killer is a much better, but again it has very little to do with the movie of the same name starring Al Pachino and Robert De Niro.

To trace the murderer you have to explore lots of hidden object locations, looking for some evidence. There is no timer in the game because you shouldn’t be hurrying when investigating such a serious case. If you have stuck on a level, you can always use a hint. They are unlimited and have an insignificant recharge, which doesn’t make any difference when you have eternity to examine a crime scene.

Gameplay is diversified with various mini-games, like dusting for fingerprints, restoring torn documents, and working in the ballistics lab. Sometimes they bring even more pleasure than looking for items, which start repeating as getting closer to the end.

Righteous to Kill 2: The Revenge of the Poet Killer has almost everything to be a perfect hidden object game. Its length, graphics, music effects - everything is outstanding, but we have been bored to death by the repeating guns, folders and drugs. Probably only the fans of the HOG genre will like it.
