ROBIN HOOD Review by DoubleGames
Robin Hood by Legacy Games is a new hidden object game for kids with absolutely unchildish gameplay. Or for those who missed to read this story in their past childhood. The experienced players can easily step this title over.
Have seeing the title Robin Hood, we have immediately remembered that nice and challenging game – Robin’s Quest: A Legend Is Born. So we fondly believed that the new installment would be as interesting as its namesake. But we were terribly wrong. The game is not only based on the original story of famous Robin Hood but practically quotes the dialogues from the book. Luckily, you are able to skip all these boring conversations clicking “continue”. Why should we read all these game dialogues? If we download some game, it means we want to play but not read and read. If someone is interested in the story, he read the book in this case.
For blah blah chat there is a helpful skip button, but what can help a dull gameplay? Unfortunately, nothing and nobody can help there. Just a delete button on your keyboard. You see, Robin Hood’s gameplay is extremely simplistic and not very inspiring. The puzzles and mini-games are terrible and unimaginative. The game’s challenge portion is so tiny there that it would be rather fair to say, “No challenge there”
As for the graphics, they are of nice cartoonish style, soundtrack is not too obtrusive. Nevertheless, they are not able to save the whole game. It is enough 15 minutes to understand that this hidden object title is not worth a byte on your disk.
