ROBINSON CRUSOE AND THE CURSED PIRATES Review by DoubleGames
It seems like the developers of casual games completely thawed after cold winter days and presented us another good installment under the title Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates. To our surprise MagicIndie Softworks gave us a really 5-star rating point-and-click adventure game.
The cruel and merciless image of pirate is widely used in all sorts of games but we have never seen the humorous reading of pirate’s nature. Actually, this title is one of the least games that simultaneously have good sense of humor and captivating gameplay. It is hardly ever possible to hide your smile when you see the pirate dressed like a salon girl archly winked at you. If you are a fan of such pets as hamsters, guinea pigs or rats, you won’t appreciate the next visual gag - a pussy-cat chewing a rat…with its tail hanging out of the cat’s mouth. Neither of these two gags have any sense in the game as they are just here for a laugh, but a player must be searching to notice them.
Oh, yes, you have to do many searchers because some objects are very well hidden. However, the mini-games are not extremely difficult, but still vary and support the game adventure atmosphere. We are especially glad that Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates has a decent replay value as many of the items are different every time. Some tasks sound rather crazy but surely put a wide smile on your face. Don’t you find it funny to grab some lipstick to plant a smooch on a pirate’s cheek to collect the kiss you need?
Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates’ beautiful crafted artwork amazed us greatly and certainly gave a lot of fun. The game does not pull down by the hidden object scenes and music either. We do not mind, if the developers plan to continue this series. Wait to go!
