RUNNING SHEEP Review by DoubleGames
Does anybody know what drives the world economy forward? According to Ladia Group, the developers of a new Arcade and Action game, sheep do. Running Sheep dwells upon the little bundles of white wool that have been trapped by sinister aliens and taken to their space ship. So, if you do not want your economy go to pot, you should help these woolly creatures escape the fate.
Although these lambs are the main heroes of this game, they don’ t differ much from their ordinary farmyard-mates – silly and plain. They understand only two commands: to run and to follow arrows on the floor. The core gameplay sound rather primitive but as you advance the levels can include tricky puzzles. Moreover, Running Sheep involves over sixty levels to tackle, an impressive number, and the difficulty curve is fairly steady. Soon players will be leading their little heroes through laser turrets and devilish robots.
Unfortunately, an absolute unique gameplay suffers from some pitfalls. For example, the control system is rather awkward, so you need several levels to catch its idea. Each level is timed though, the time slowly count down. If the game manage to avoid this mistake, Running Sheep may easily entertain a great number of players.
With a unique spins on gameplay and, of course, magnificent artwork, Running Sheep is a fun and solid game. It looks cheerful and silly sometimes, but always addictive for a little break. And these sheep so funny and cute! Anyway, you’ll get a good portion of challenge.
