SEASON OF MYSTERY: THE CHERRY BLOSSOM MURDERS Review by DoubleGames
Welcome to Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders, a well-designed product by Big Fish Games. This fascinating hidden object game offers you to investigate a gruesome murder of American diplomat.
From the very beginning you are plunged into enigmatic atmosphere of crime. To discover the clues of it you should find a pile of different items. Honestly, the objects are neatly hidden in plain site and aren’t difficult to spot at all. There is some color blending, but the items are mostly large. Besides if you click any object on your list, the silhouette appears above it, which avoids ambiguity.
Some scenes contain mini-games to solve such as jigsaw and few inventory puzzles, etc. But they are not numerous as the great part of gameplay is devoted to the HOG scenes. The game is generous with hints which are varied and can show you the location or even silhouette of a hidden item. Hints are also unlimited and restoring in a short period of time. In the case you get stuck at this or that task, just use the “solve” button to finish and skip the game. However, it has pretty good replay value, even after you’ve solved the case, since the hidden objects are randomized.
Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders can be really proud of its lovely and original graphics. Since all acts are laid in Japan you will be able to contemplate marvelous views of this beautiful country. The illustrations are notable for their high-quality, producing the effect of authenticity. In spite of the game’s simplicity it is worth playing to see splendid artwork.
