SECRETS OF THE DRAGON WHEEL Review by DoubleGames
Secrets of the Dragon Wheel is a good mix of hidden object and adventure elements from Gogii Games. The confrontation between good and evil is a traditional storyline of most hidden object titles and this game is not exclusion. So, get ready to step into female shoes in order to save the world.
Secrets of the Dragon Wheel is not entirely original for die-hard hidden object fans, since the majority of the tasks are the same type we see over and over in this genre, but it is well-done and exciting enough to play. Consisting of the classical elements, this game requires finding hidden items and solving mini-games. The title might be too easy for the experienced players, but some of the items in the hidden object scenes are hard to find. As for this case there are plenty of hints, which provide you with magnifying glass or pointer.
Unlike some games, Secrets of the Dragon Wheel does not allow you to click through the subtitles. So, you have to wait for each character to have a good long talk, which is a bit of a minor annoyance for those who do not care much about the plot. The game lacks in variety of items as a result half of them in searches of same scenes tend to repeat.
However, graphics are lovely and quite detailed. All sceneries are lush and vivid allowing the player to enjoy the artwork in full measure. Graphically, it is not top-notch, but its hand-drawn scenes and simple style perfectly fits the game. The music background is appropriate but the voice acting sounds odd a little bit. All in all, this game product has a fine chance to take a worthy place in one’s hidden object library.
