SECRETS OF THE PAST: MOTHER'S DIARY Review by DoubleGames
Secrets of the Past: Mother’s Diary is a new hidden object adventure game given by Far Mills Game Studios Games. You will take a role of an orphan girl who is searching for a clue to her mother. Despite the fact that many of the factors of this game are predictable it still has a chance to entertain you!
One big factor that can make you not give this game a try is that it was created by a studio where English is not the first language. Well, the translation isn’t very good but it’s not a game stopper. The graphics are good and lovely, but a little bit grainy. Little hazy here and there but the objects to find aren’t too small or too well hidden, although this might be different for a number of players with lesser good functioning eyes. The music is bearable. Not too much of a point to you if you often mute game music, in favor of the background sounds. The sounds for the river area like birds chirping is a very nice touch.
The hidden objects scenes in Secrets of the Past: Mother’s Diary are a real junkyard. Plenty of puzzles and mini games won’t disappoint you, although so far they have been very easy to make it exciting.
Unfortunately only real issue was with the awful, clunky cursor. And you can’t change it. But it has 2 modes of play which is always appreciated. Overall Secrets of the Past: Mother’s Diary is not a bad game for an afternoon with nothing better to do!
