SERPENT OF ISIS 2: YOUR JOURNEY CONTINUES Review by DoubleGames
GameHouse stuff delights its fans with the fresh sequel to well-known hidden object game The Serpent of Isis. The new chapter in the series, under this pretty plain title - Serpent of Isis 2: Your Journey Continues, focuses on a thrilling adventure and search of ancient artifact.
Though the storyline sounds familiar, Serpent of Isis 2: Your Journey Continues is interesting to proceed via grandfather’s instructions. There are a lot of dialogues, which constantly pop up, but fortunately you can easily go through them. With the constant available option “How to Play” and tutorials, the game is a real gem for hidden object beginners. But veterans of this genre can also find there a lot of interesting features while playing this title.
The core gameplay maintains the best hidden object traditions: challenge and intrigue. The scenes are clear and well-defined, still some are easy and some are more difficult, however, there isn’t anything so tiny you cannot distinguish it. Usually the mini-games are tricky, but there are cases when they are as easy as a pie. The main principle of most mini-games is to find pieces first to solve them.
The artwork is brilliant in almost all the cases, although some of the scenes seem a bit blurry. The music background is perfectly fitting to the game atmosphere but sometimes sounds too haunting. Thankfully, there is always a chance to turn it down! The characters are well-made in a cartoon style.
All in all, Serpent of Isis 2: Your Journey Continues has enough twists to be recommended to die hard hidden object gaming addicts. There are plenty of scenes to explore and puzzles to exercise your “little gray cells”. Time-keeper and time penalties add on game challenge much as well. Try it!
