SPOOKY MALL Review by DoubleGames
It is rather strange to see a Halloween-themed game at the height of winter season, isn’t it? But it seems that Alawar Entertainment doesn’t care about this very much, presenting us its new Time Management game Spooky Mall.
Spooky Mall includes 100 levels and five different shops, where the main heroine has to work at midnight. The game offers only one mode of difficulty, but each level can be complete with a variety of rewards depending on how much money you get and whether your squeamish customs leaves the store. Sadly, there are no trophies or any achievements, so this fact decrease further motivation to finish the game very much. Luckily, the design of each shop changes after every level, so at least it always nice to have all new background.
Honestly, Spooky Mall is an ordinary reproduction of a popular game (Supermarket Mania 2, for example) with an odd twist on gameplay. The mechanics, graphics and plot are pretty familiar and won’t embarrass you at all. In the game you will meet some funny characters that will make the game easier, if you have an eye on them.
Unfortunately, these huge variety of backgrounds are very minor and not enough to create a really engaging game environment. Upgrades and bonuses are extremely the same and can be achieved in the first 15 levels.
All in all, if you don’t mind to play again the same Time Management game, welcome to Spooky Mall. But you should know that we give it just three stars out of five. Try it before get a full version.
