TASTY PLANET: BACK FOR SECONDS Review by DoubleGames
Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds developed by Dingo Games has you playing as small but very hungry grey goo thing who is take part in a scientific experiment. You are able and must eat everything that is smaller than you. The more you eat the bigger you become. You grow bigger and bigger, until you are able to swallow a thing that is a hundred time bigger than you. Sounds funny?!
It is unfair to speak about Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds without touching Tasty Planet, the first installment in this series. The second title of this series uses the same charming 2D design concept. Unlike the original Tasty Planet, this time around, the game has got a more dynamic gameplay with tons of new things to call it a real sequel. Still, it is not very challenging as you might expect. You can play timed mode but this adds only few challenge. The real dangers are creatures that are much bigger than you.
Nevertheless, Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds is extremely gripping because of its casual gameplay. This title has a very handy interface that uses either the mouse or arrow keys for your movements. You can have a rest from usual jumping, climbing, just move and chew. Although the artwork is quite common, it is absolutely suitable and does not diminish the game itself. It has a very skittish feel and the artwork serves to that very well.
However, this game becomes a little repetitive, with such ordinary activities as eating small things and getting bigger. Thanks to its tiny drawbacks, these simple levels and even the primitive idea of this game still provide players with a lot fun, making it a deserved addition to your arcade and action game library. Have fun!
