THE CURSE OF THE RING REVIEW BY DOUBLEGAMES

The Curse of the Ring is a wonderful hidden object game to start the new year. A challenging pirate story with a curse and a poor girl, and an evil pirate and countless treasures await you there. Sounds promising? And this is really so!.. Read more

The ordinary title of this game hides a very captivating storyline that unlike many related titles keeps your interest up to the very end. Still, this game slightly reminds us the Samantha Swift series where your prime object is searching for different artifacts. You get to put on different shoes in this adventure installment from a reckless diver to a smart treasure seeker. Anyway, today this is one of the best hidden object adventure experience.

The Curse of the Ring is mainly hidden object style with random puzzles, which are spread out through the whole game. For the most part, the only complaint we have is about the small objects in most hidden object scenes. Honestly, it is not very exciting to get your face up into the screen to find something. Surely, this is a usual tactic to make the players think that the game is much longer than it really is. Rather cheap way but sometimes still work. The graphics present the game much better than expected. These illustrations are pretty good, and some of the underwater special effects are gorgeous. The music background is nice, however, it doesn’t seem very fitting for the game environment.

All in all, The Curse of the Ring has a good challenging portion, quite fun and intriguing, and difficult enough to keep your brain as well as eyes working. A good beginning to the year!
