THE MAGICIAN'S HANDBOOK II: BLACKLORE Review by DoubleGames
BC Soft Games company offers you a continuation of The Magician’s Handbook hidden object adventures. In the second part your mission is to save fairies from a pirate Blacklore. The Magician’s Handbook 2: Blacklore is an example of a well-done hidden object game. All the hidden items and mini games are related to the plot, and that is a very good quality for a game of this genre, as the game’s length and its technical characteristics.
The first part in this series had some serious problems, like very small hidden items and dark locations. Here all these flaws were partially fixed. There are two modes in the game: timed and relaxed. If you like to replay the game in different modes, you would be happy to know that all the items from the list change their positions every time you start a new game. Minigames stay the same, but there shouldn’t be any frustration, cause they are extremely entertaining to play.
We can’t say that The Magician’s Handbook 2: Blacklore is a family game. It can be too scary sometimes for small kids. Probably experienced hidden object gamers will find this game interesting, cause, honestly, all the puzzles are way too challenging. Pro hidden object gamers will adore the game while those newer to the genre may find it complicated and as a result boring.
