TRIAL OF THE GODS: ARIADNE'S JOURNEY Review by DoubleGames
Lately the symbiosis of two different genres like match 3 and hidden object has become very popular and commonly used in game production. Trial of the Gods: Ariadne’s Journey is the second installment in the series, when Orneon uses this way.
According to the storyline, you are to match gems and find objects in order to help an Ancient Greek girl save her beloved. At first sight the idea of this title may seem quite simple and not challenging, but once you begin your journey you see the game is more than foolish clicking. Still, Trial of the Gods: Ariadne’s Journey is far from being unique or extraordinary edition. But to the developers mind there are some “interesting” twists on the usual gameplay. Well, if such activities as playing cards and moving an oilcan to a wagon wheel the developers consider as the unique ones, we can’t help it. Let it be on their conscience.
If you are not a match 3 enthusiast, you are able to try few hidden object tasks as a diversion. They are also not so hard, but still a nice addition to the gameplay. However, we should admit that Trial of the Gods: Ariadne’s Journey is a beautifully crafted game with clear cartoon graphics, pleasant music background. If it was not so ordinary and had really interesting twists, it would be a highly recommended premise. Honestly, it rather hard to talk over this game as it is not bad and not annoying but it is very and very trite. But for its good value production, it would hardly deserve our eye.
