TWISTED: A HAUNTED CAROL Review by DoubleGames
This Christmas time we are offered to celebrate with Twisted: A Haunted Carol company, a new dark hidden object game by Gogii Games. If you believe this is a game that represented holiday season and has an interesting spin on an original story, you will be really disappointed. There is nothing about which to be merry or jolly. It seems the developers are absolutely sure that gloomy storyline is everything what we would like to get for Christmas time.
Some of you surely remember that the entry of 2010 we have celebrated with outstanding Mysterious Case Files: Dire Grove, which is also notable for its spooky plot. So, today we have the same situation. But will Twisted: A Haunted Carol be as popular as Dire Grove? Well, it is hard to say but we are sure that this storyline is much more fearful than Dire Grove’s one. The plot is really depressing with its sinister characters, skeletons, and theft. This is rather the Halloween version of the famous Dickens’ novel – A Christmas Carol.
So, if you have nothing against grim stories in the eve of Christmas and can live with this adaptation, welcome to Twisted: A Haunted Carol. The gameplay is not bad, but not very challenging. Moreover, some of its mini-games are too repetitive and not very intriguing. The music seems a bit muted and there is no voice acting just mere dialogues. But the artwork is fantastic there and can easy make you gazing at it. Most of the scenes are fabulous and attract with their high-quality. Unfortunately, the game is too short for its genre. We would like to enjoy game’s vivid illustrations more. Have fun!
