VOODOO WHISPERER: CURSE OF A LEGEND COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
Have the developers ultimately learned how to create good games and delight their fans? As for Gogii Games, they really have. Their just coming out hidden object story Voodoo Whisperer: Curse of a Legend has impressed us very much. The prolific combination between intriguing premise, stretching gameplay and superb production values is a long-forgotten case but still there are some folks that can piece together these features.
In Voodoo Whisperer: Curse of a Legend you take a role of Lillian, a girl with the unique ability to speak to spirits. While it is not a very unique ability to have in a modern casual hidden object game, the wonderful way of presentation of this common idea is beyond any praise. A dead voodoo queen, evil ghosts, spells, potions are indispensable attributes there adding much on a grave game atmosphere. Awesome scenery and backgrounds are too well-designed to be avoided. Traveling around these scenes you want to study all the details more and more carefully.
Although the hidden object scenes have nothing fresh searched for, they are all cleverly done. The magnifying glass is so very thoughtful and appreciated especially when you get stuck on some items. The highest compliment to the developers of Voodoo Whisperer: Curse of a Legend is in ease of usability. Unlike most similar game, it is easy to follow the story, to use hint system and manage the task list. The voice acting is great, but it is just in the introduction – you just get a dialog to read in the core gameplay.
Overall, we have no problems finding items in the regular hidden object scenes, but they could have been a bit sharper. Well, it seems we just split hairs there. So, we are absolutely sure this 6 hours gameplay has a good ground to become a real gem of someone’s hidden object collection.
