While the storyline is commonplace and not so thrilling, just another title set in the mental hospital with the protagonist lost his souvenirs and trying to find out how to escape this weird place, the game itself is still a bit different and truly scary. Despite the routine you are drawn into story immediately because the intrigue and sense of suspense is as high there as never before.

The hidden object scenes are done very well with clever hidden items and a very quickly reloaded hint button. Unfortunately, the puzzles turn out to be rather average without any challenge. Luckily, they are not very numerous because White Haven Mysteries is a straightforward Hidden Object game.

However, White Haven Mysteries is definitely one of the scariest installment with lots of shocking moments. The horror effect is geared by the gorgeous music and spooky sound effects. Thanks to the developers’ accurate attitude towards music, they managed to convey the gloomy mood of the game. The voice-overs are also good, especially the voice of the main evil-doer.

Although the game length is rather long (about 5 hours), the ending of it is too abrupt and vague. When you are really kept by the action it is very important to have a worthy result of your careful playing. Sadly, there is nothing like this.

All in all, White Haven Mysteries deserves your attention because this a well-done scary game that can provide you with several hours of exciting play. It must be add to your Hidden Object list for sure!
