WITCHES' LEGACY: THE CHARLESTON CURSE COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
Elephant Games that brought us the spiffing Fear for Sale series comes with Witches’ Legacy: The Charleston Curse, an eye-popping new title. So, what about its quality, innovation, and artistry? Are there any improvements?
The story about a child at the mercy of a witch is one of the most spookiest today. Although we have seen many haunted mansions, evil spirits, etc., this installment is absolutely different because of the new, imaginative and innovative way of plot presentation. The first minutes of the story draws you in immediately, and other scenes only get better there. The developers polished classical Hidden Object gameplay and added a lot of twists for a change. As a result, we got a really challenging game with brilliant artwork.
In Witches’ Legacy: The Charleston Curse the hidden object scenes might seem a bit “muted” in color sometimes but still appropriate to the overall game. There is some interaction in the scenes which gives a bit of a break from just hunting the objects. The puzzles aren’t difficult and can be easily skipped but they vary the core gameplay very well.
Graphically, Witches’ Legacy: The Charleston Curse looks great but maybe a bit hazy in order to keep a gloomy atmosphere. The game involves the accurate animations and the cutscenes that somewhat give the feel of credibility. The music background is also fine without any irritating or looped tunes.
Does this game deserve to be a leader of top list? Time will show. But this game is definitely worthy one that can provide newbies as well as veterans of Hidden Object genre with a lot of fun. Highly recommended!
