Delaware St. John: The Seacliff Tragedy

Delaware St. John: The Seacliff Tragedy by BigTimeGames is not the game of global changes in point-and-click genre; however, this installment is more polished in plot and graphics and much heavier than the preceding volumes. This development staff becomes deeper and mature, while still keeping the family friendly style that is very comfortable to play.

For those who have heard about this game for the first time, this is the third installment in Delaware St. John series games. Actually, each volume is all-sufficient and can be played without the necessity of playing the other installments. So, as usual you are placed in the boots of Delaware to uncover another paranormal event. 

Still, you will probably appreciate one big change with this issue. Now you are to drive not only Delaware, but his faithful helper Kelly as well. Honestly, getting to play Kelly is a nice treat and a change for the game. Now we are able to know her better and get hint about her and Delaware’s relationship with each other. Thanks to this new spin on the storyline the game appears to be more dynamic and even intriguing.   

Contrary to the Delaware’s previous two games which are too short - can be played in 2 or 3 hours – The Seacliff Tragedy provides more playing time. It is far from being hard game but its perplexing tasks will take about 8 or 10 hours. The other notable thing of this title is that Delaware St. John: The Seacliff Tragedy is peppered with a lot of animations and cutscenes. Graphically the locations are very well-designed and it all looks like what people will expect a park at night to look like – creepy, gloomy and very chilling.

Overall, there are few reasons for improvement. More than once there is a feeling that Delaware St. John: The Seacliff Tragedy takes place in the same spooky house of its two previous tales. Why not make some areas more original? It might bring the title to the next level.
