FIX-IT-UP 80S: MEET KATE'S PARENTS Review by DoubleGames
Taking some protagonists of casual games back to their childhood or teenage period becomes very popular, especially when it concerns time management genre. Today we have already learned about how Flo’s and Emily’s story began. So World-Loom, the developers of a new chapter in the Fix-it-Up series, didn’t lose a chance to use this trick and gave us Fix-it-Up 80s: Meet Kate’s Parents.
The plot is surely engaging and full of authentic features giving a glimpse of early 80s. Still we are disappointed by the lack of innovation because the core gameplay is not really differ from the previous installments. The main aim of purchasing old cars and fixing them up does not change at all. All those buildings, upgrades and modes play out in exactly the same way. However, gameplay Fix-it-Up 80s: Meet Kate’s Parents is as entertaining as we could expect from a new chapter. It is nice to point out that it runs much smoother than its predecessors.
The artwork is stunning, and the cars are particularly vivid. Thanks to the graphics and game mechanics, Fix-it-Up 80s: Meet Kate’s Parents still looks better than most other fresh time management games. Though the title is as exciting as it should be, few twists might have made the traditional gameplay seem more advanced. But there is no need to cry for the moon. The game has more positive aspects than negative ones. Unfortunately, the music background and sound effects are still haunting a little bit.
Nevertheless, we have nothing against this installment as it corresponds all modern game requirements – eye-popping graphics, riveting storyline and addictive gameplay. If you are really fan of this illustrious time management series, you will sure love this title. Happy gaming!
