The fifth time around iWin, one of the top game developers, offers us its new title in the famous gem-swapping game series Jewel Quest. The new installment has you traveling back in time in order to figure out a weird and powerful stone called the Sleepless Star. Well, Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Star is as challenging as always but still too close to its predecessors. .. Read more

In fact, very few match-three games can show off exciting or action-packed stories, but Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Star is an exception. The plot itself is much more interesting and perfectly presented with comic style illustrations and good voice-acting. If you don’t care much for the story, you can easily skip it. But you won’t regret, if you pay attention to how the story runs. In spite of compelling storyline, this title is too similar to its ancestors.

The core gameplay keeps the main principle of this game series – clean the boards from jewels, turning the tiles to gold, before the time runs out. Still Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Start involves some absolute new boards, which support gameplay challenge for a little while. However, this title became very predictable and there were no surprises during the play. We used to beef other related games, which were too short. But with six chapters and more than 200 boards to clean, this “journey in time” looks extremely long. No wonder that this gameplay becomes repetitive after 100 boards.

Overall, good storyline and eye-popping graphics make Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Star slightly better than its prior titles. If you are not in a big rush and have nothing to do one weekend, play it.
