KNIGHTFALL: DEATH AND TAXES Review by DoubleGames
Namco Networks, famous for its quirky puzzles, introduces us the third chapter in Megadev’s illustrious match-three and role playing game hybrid series. Being already the third installment in the series Knightfall: Death and Taxes has lost its challenge part. Or probably we became too exquisite in our preferences. Nevertheless, it deserves to be played.
The first complain is about Knightfall: Death and Taxes’s gameplay because it completely copies the prior installments. Each tower is comprised of a series of stages where your main goal is collecting all the keys and finding the way out. This is cracked by clicking on and broking clusters of three or more colored blocks. Honestly, we have mixed emotions about this game. On the one hand, we could define this hybrid as a paragon of the best classical role playing traditions. We believe this fact could be fully appreciate only by a nostalgic persons.
On the other hand, there is nothing to mark out or to point out. Mediocracy and repetitiveness of the game scenes back us in the early 80’s. From the wonderful 3D graphics to the gripping gameplay, this title looks rather weak. If you have nothing against medieval artwork and play, you can try it, but it could hardly become your favorite one. Hey, developers, wake up! It is time to show us something new, addictive or at least interesting. We are really sick and tired of this sort of cheesy issues. Muddy illustrious and lack of flashy effects are not able to win game’s heart. Dear developers, mind this fact please!
