MYSTERY TRACKERS: RAINCLIFF COLLECTOR'S EDITION Review by DoubleGames
Mystery Trackers: Raincliff is the latest installment in hidden object adventure series from Elephant Games. The story runs on the deserted but haunted town of Raincliff, where you are trying to figure out the phantom or spirit or something like this.
The regular premise of Mystery Trackers: Raincliff turns into fairly intriguing storyline with many twists and spins. The story is moved along by dialogues appearing one by one according to the plot. These dialogues are interesting to read and never burden you with useless information or facts. The mini-games and puzzles are well-presented but rather typical for this genre. You are allowed to skip the most sticking tasks but of course too often use of the skip button can considerably cut the length of the whole gameplay.
But if you do not care about gameplay very much, you can enjoy its graphics. The artwork is on the very good side there, the characters, most pictures look real, but there are still few very blurry places. As a result the lighting and blurriness of the scenes make it hard to spot items, and some of the items are quite small and some blending into the background. Fortunately, the hint recharges at 30 seconds and there is no punishments for miss clicking.
As for the music, it is also fine, haunting and spooky in some respects, and there is even a scene that is easily able to make you jumping, but lack of voice-overs reduce this effect a little. Mystery Trackers: Raincliff involves a lot of things to do in each scene, nice illustrations to explore. This title offers a fine hidden object experience for those who are keen on hair raising stories and dark scenes. That is just a right game for some dark and lonely night. Have fun!
